Brandon spent six years as assistant professor of music at Mount Marty University in Yankton, South Dakota, where he directed The Mount Marty Choir, The Mount Marty Choral Union, and Smooth Benediction– the college’s pop a cappella group. He served as director of choral activities, voice coach, and chair of the Department of Music at the college.
After graduating from Saint Ambrose University in 2006, Brandon earned a master’s degree in choral conducting under Dr. Paul Torkelson at The University of Nevada, Reno. He then attended the School of Music at The University of Southern Mississippi, where he studied choral conducting, pedagogy, and literature under Dr. Gregory Fuller, and is in the final stages of completing his doctorate.
Brandon is originally from Clinton, Iowa and currently resides in Davenport where he and his wife Katie live with their five children. In addition to directing our parish music ministry, Brandon also teaches K-8 vocal music at our parish school.
