Prayers for the Dead

The month of November is dedicated to praying for the holy souls in purgatory. From November first through the eighth, a special plenary indulgence, which can only be applied to the souls in purgatory, can be obtained each day by devoutly visiting and praying at a cemetery. The usual conditions of a sacramental Confession, reception of Holy Communion, and prayers for the pope's intentions apply. 

On Saturday, November 4, Fr. Chris will lead prayers for the dead at St. Mary's Cemetery, immediately following the 9:00am First Saturday Mass.
