This month we will be doing a food drive to help the MCSA Food Pantry. We will be collecting items after all Masses the weekends of November 12th & 13th and November 19th & 20th, and after the 6:30 PM Thanksgiving Eve Mass. Below is the list of items that MCSA has said they are especially in need of, but will appreciate and use anything!
Please join us Sunday, May 1 from 3:30 - 5:00 at the Mary Grotto outside Ss. Mary & Mathias Catholic Church for a May Crowning! This was our first event last year - we had a great turn out and alot of fun... we are hoping for a repeat! Please email [email protected] with any questions. We hope to see you there!
This month the Family Life Commission will be leading the Stations of the Cross on Friday, April 8 at 5:15. We will be reading the "Stations of the Cross for Children" version. We hope you can join us in what is sure to be a powerful event for both the kids who are able to read a Station and those who attend.
Enjoy a fun, safe night of Trunk or Treating with Saints Mary & Mathias Catholic School families and parish members! Walk through the parking lot of the school from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM picking treats from decorated trunks and tables- be sure to wear your costume!
We'd love for your family, friends or organization to have fun decorating a vehicle's trunk (or table/tent) and hand out treats to kids the night of the event. Decorations can be set up between 5:00 & 5:45 PM and will be need to stay in place until 7:00. Please provide your own materials.
Due to the potential for severe weather and the nature of the event, we are unfortunately going to cancel the event this afternoon. We are bummed to have to do this for the second month in a row, but feel this is the best decision. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Hopefully we will be able to host an event in September!
Our August event is scheduled for Sunday, August 8 from 3:30 - 5:30 at Sts. Mary & Mathias Catholic School. We will be grilling out, making pipe cleaner rosary decades with the kids and saying a rosary together. We will also have some yard games and canopies set up. Food will consist of burgers, hotdogs, chips, water and a dessert. Please bring your family (don't forget the lawn chairs!), invite some friends and join us for some food, fellowship and fun!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday, June 13 for our second Parish & Family Life Event! There was a nice turn out with some new faces. Fr. Andrew talked with the kids about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and some children led us in prayer as we prayed the first day of the Sacred Heart Novena. Cookies and popsicles were a big hit with all as we played some yard games and enjoyed our time socializing!
