Has it been a while since your last “confession”?

Maybe it's time to reconcile your life with God. In the past year, many people have made their first confession in several years. They say the experience has lifted a great weight from their hearts and minds and they feel ready to find the joy in life that is so fundamental in our faith.

We are supposed to be a happy people. God created us to be filled with joy. The sacrament of Reconciliation is the first step towards that joy for many, many people.

In the Sacrament of Reconciliation Jesus announces to us, through the Church and its ministers, that our sins are forgiven and that we are loved by God. We hear the voice of Christ: “Go in peace, your sins are forgiven.” This is what Jesus does. This is His gift of reconciliation.

Don’t you wish ALL the people you have hurt would tell you that you are forgiven? Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus forgives us? He wants us to go in peace! You can have that peace this Saturday afternoon.
